Born August 13, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
Graduated from Brown University with a dual specialization: mathematics and art studio, then worked for several years in Hollywood as a decorator and art director. Hood later went on to study at the USC School of Motion Picture Arts, from which he graduated in 1997.
Sean Hood's first film work was the short film "The Shy and the Naked", where he directed and wrote.
Later Hood began to write scripts, the first of which was the script for the television movie "In the Dark" (1999). Sean then signed with Dimension Films to write the script for Halloween: Resurrection (2002).
