Ryu Seung-bom - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips, Actor.

Born August 9, 1980, Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea - South Korean actor.

His older brother Ryu Seung-wan was an aspiring filmmaker. From 1996 to 1999, the elder Ryu directed four low-budget short films with his younger brother in the title role. The shorts, radically different in style, but with a common narrative line, were re-edited, merged and released in 2000 as Ryu Seung-wang's directorial debut, Die. The film became an instant cult hit and drew attention to the Ryu brothers. For this performance, Ryu Seung-bom won Best Aspiring Actor at the Grand Bell Awards.

Their success continued with the subsequent Eastern Espionage (1998), a 35-minute short film parodying 60s and 70s Korean action movies, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan films, and old Korean melodramas.

In 2002, the actor starred in his brother's gangster drama No Blood, No Tears, which became a critical and box office disappointment. After that, Ryu Seung-bom continued his career independently of the elder Ryu. And since then he has starred in dozens of films for various directors.

In 2003 he made his theater debut.

In 2016, Ryu Seung-bom starred in the drama "The Network" by cult South Korean director Kim Ki-dook.
