Born on July 20, 1969 in a poor family of a topographer and a chemistry teacher. We had to live in a dilapidated trailer, the nearest civilization from which was no closer than thirty kilometers. Josh Holloway doesn't like to talk about it, because many of his peers mocked his poverty. The boy often fought back with fights, for which he was almost kicked out of school.

The first cents earned went to the guy from the local farmers for whom he worked part-time. For these pennies, Josh went to the cinema, where he was inspired by the dream of an acting career. Realizing that this is impossible with the financial situation of his family, the guy went in for sports, playing on the school basketball team. This helped to get a scholarship at the university. But a year later, the young man dropped out. He worked at a construction site, from where he was invited to the first ever shooting in advertising. It also turned out that Josh is quite photogenic, and he was offered a job as a photo model. But soon he got tired of it. By that time, having already earned money for his own house, he gives housing to his parents and goes to Los Angeles to test himself in the cinema.

The first roles of Josh Holloway were both in the famous film works (Cool Walker, CSI Crime Scene) and not so much (Sabretooth, Dr. Benny). The actor did not know what to do - he was not accepted in film circles. He left alone the thought of Hollywood and enrolled in realtor courses.
