Upon graduation in 1925, Vkhutemas participated in the creation of the first Soviet cartoons (China on Fire). She began her work in animation as an animation artist, then moved on to directing. Together with Valentina Brumberg created such films as "Little Red Riding Hood", "Puss in Boots", "The Missing Letter", "Three Fat Men" and many others.
One of the most famous works is the cartoon "Fedya Zaitsev" (1949), where among the quasi-realistic, quasi-volumetric figures is an elementary one - "stick-stick-cucumber" - a man drawn on the school wall by pioneer Fedya. In the early sixties, with the help of this little man, the Brumberg sisters blew up the established canon of Soviet animation, in the creation of which they themselves participated.
