Valentin Grudinin - Soviet, Ukrainian theater and film actor, participant of the Great Patriotic War. Valentin Guryevich Grudinin comes from a small mining town - Makeevka, in the Donbass. Born into a family of white-collar workers, his mother was an employee of a telephone exchange, his father held a leading position in the Makeevka Department of Internal Affairs.

From an early age, the boy showed a craving for acting. Little Valyusha began his career as an artist from the theater stage, performed at the Makeyevka People's Theater. Soon the family moved to the neighboring satellite city of Stalino (now Donetsk), but Valentin Grudinin did not have time to find a suitable troupe here. The war prevented further passion for drama and professional mastery of the profession.
