Arkady Gaschinsky was born on July 29, 1920 in the beautiful city of Melitopol in the Zaporozhye region. He received his education at the Melitopol Architecture and Construction College and even then showed a great interest in acting - he took an active part in the life of an amateur theatrical circle. At the age of 19 he entered the Theater Institute in Kharkov. During the Patriotic War, he was a member of the front theater brigade.
In 1945, Gashchinsky brilliantly graduated from the GITIS named after Lunacharsky. And since 1948 he has become a sought-after actor of the Franko Kiev Drama Theater. Arkady took part in the productions of this theater until 1990. Just imagine how many years Arkady Gaschinsky devoted to one theater! From 1969 to 1975, the actor is also engaged in teaching here.
The first film with Gaschinsky was released in 1956. Three hundred years ago ... is a historical drama telling about the uprising of Ukrainian peasants led by Bohdan Khmelnytsky. After 1980, he no longer acted in films, but only taught at KITI (Kiev Institute of Theater Arts).
In 1971, Arkady Gaschinsky was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR.
