She made her screen debut at the age of 18 in the film "Meeting in a Fairy Tale" / Spotkanie w Bajce "(daughter of the chairman, 1962, directed by Jan Rubkovsky).
Graduated from the Higher Theater School in Warsaw (1966). She was an actress of the "Scena Prezentacje" theater in Warsaw.
She gained popularity after playing the main roles in the film Pan Volodyevsky (Basya, Golden Grono Award, 1969) and the television series The Adventures of Pan Michal (both 1969).
Since 1973 she has been the wife of the actor Gustav Holoubek (1923-2008). Cinematographer Jan Holoubek (born 1978) is the son of an actress.
