Born on March 29, 1959 in Moscow.
In 1980 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (course leaders P.V. Massalsky and I.M. Tarkhanov).
From 1980 to 1995 - artist of the Central Academic Theater of the Soviet Army. During his work at TSATSA he played more than 30 large and small roles.
From 1985 to 2000 - lecturer at the Department of Actor's Skills at the Moscow Art Theater School. He worked at the courses of I.M. Tarkhanov, V.P. Markov, L.K.Durov, A.N. Leontiev, E.N. Lazarev. In 1992 he staged his graduation performance "In Closed Doors" based on the play by J.-P. Sartre.
He was the first assistant director in the international theater project "Oresteia" - directed by Peter Stein.
