The legendary Bulgarian theater, film and voice actor Hristo Mutafchiev was born on April 4, 1969 in the city of Karlovo. A courageous, even a little brutal, charismatic guy, with a special smile and velvet voice, was a leader at the Bulgarian National Academy of Theater and Cinema. Hristo received his acting education in the workshops of Nadezhda Seikova and Ilia Dobrev.

After graduating from the Academy, Hristo began working at the N.O. Masalitinov Drama Theater in the city of Plovdiv. On this stage, the actor lasted only one year, from 1994 to 1995, after which he became a member of the troupe of the Young City Theater from the Channel. The most famous roles of Hristo Mutafchiev are in the works of the notorious Bulgarian director Marius Kurkinski, in the plays The Family of the Deceased, Les Miserables (according to Hugo), Lieutenant Benz, Beautiful Clara, as well as in the productions of Zdravka Mitkov Fighters (based on Evstratios Karras), Bina Kharlampieva Coronation and Slavekoyvtsy directed by Boyk Bogdanov.

In addition to theater, the actor is actively working on television. The first film with the participation of Hristo Mutafchiev was released in 1994. It was the Bulgarian family drama Gori, burn, light. Almost all the films in which the actor played were shot by Bulgaria. The exception is the BBC series Hannibal.
