Born on July 16, 1960 in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region.
During his school years he studied in the studio at the Puppet Theater.
After the eighth grade, he entered the puppetry department of the theater school. After studying for two years, he was drafted into the army, and when he returned, he transferred to the drama department, the course of which was led by Semyon Emmanuilovich Lerman, artistic director of the Nizhny Novgorod theater "Comedy" .
In 1989 he was invited to the Yaroslavl Academic Drama Theater. Volkov, where, a few years later, he became a leading actor.
