Valentina Alekseevna is known to the viewer, first of all, for her roles in such cult Soviet films as Office Romance (1977) and Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears (1979). Valentina Ushakova was born in Moscow in 1925. After leaving school, he enters the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University, and spends all his free time in the student theater.
But fate favored the actress's ascent to the star pedestal: accidentally learning that there was a shortage in the acting department at VGIK, she, without hesitation, enters the cinematography course, which was led by Vasily Vanin that year. In 1949, Valentina received her diploma and began to play in the staff of the Studio Theater.
The first film with Valentina Ushakova appears in 1950 - it was the biographical drama of Musogorsky, in which the actress played the role of Nadezhda Purgold. Since that moment, new films with her participation have been released almost every year, among them - the melodrama Silver Dust (1953), the war drama We must not forget about it (1954), the drama Green Lights (1955), the crime detective Night Patrol (1957) and others.
In 1958, the actress became the wife of cameraman Alexander Kochetkov, and her career was interrupted for several years. A movie with Valentina's participation will delight the viewer only in 1961, she will act as the mother of the main character of the comedy film Alenka from director Boris Barnet. And again, Ushakova is experiencing a surge in roles and offers, many of which were so successful that her name remains popular to this day.
The best films with Valentina Ushakova are undoubtedly the sports comedy The Reserve Player (1954), the melodrama Different Fates (1956), the drama Earthly Love (1974) and, of course, the aforementioned legendary films Office Romance (the role of an employee of a statistical agency) and Moscow Doesn't believe in tears (role of Nikolai's mother).
The actress died of a stroke at the age of 87, was buried in the Preobrazhensky cemetery, next to her husband.
