She was born on September 19, 1953 in Bydgoszcz (Poland). In 1977 she graduated from the Warsaw Theater School, the course of Henryk Tomaszewski. After graduation, she worked at the National Theater in Warsaw (1977-84, 2004-) .
She made her film debut in 1977 in a cameo role.
