Boris Rubashkin is an Austrian opera performer and film actor who has played mainly in Russian films. Was born in June 1932 in Sofia (Bulgaria). Boris's father was a Don Cossack who immigrated to Bulgaria. From early childhood, little Bori's love for art was manifested in every possible way. He attended both dance studios and music circles, and even was fond of singing. During his school years he participated in the choreographic ensemble under the Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs, while studying at the university with a degree in economics. But Rubashkin was not destined to finish his studies in his native Sofia, he left the city to continue his studies in Prague. There he met his first wife, with whom he later moved to Austria.

But the creative activity of the future singer did not begin immediately. At first he worked as an ordinary car washer, then worked at a factory and only in the mid-60s became a restaurant contractor.
