Robin Shaw was born on July 17th, 1960 in Hong Kong. Robin's father was a tailor and, according to the actor himself, a very tough and strict person, and his mother was a housewife, who was responsible for raising five children. Robin Shaw is the fourth child with two older sisters, one older brother and one younger. From an early age, Robin began to get involved in martial arts. At the age of 11, his family moved to America, where Robin showed his best side and was the first in the family to learn English, becoming a translator and teacher for the whole family.
After graduating from school, Robin delves into the study of martial arts, but does not achieve the desired result and gives up studying karate. A year and a half later, Robin accidentally witnesses the demonstration of the Beijing Wushu School. He was so impressed by the sight that he sells his car and leaves for China to study this kind of martial arts. Being a gifted person, he quickly establishes the basics and after a short time performs at international competitions, where he wins gold medals. Returning to America, he entered the California State University and received an engineering degree, but, to his surprise, he was not at all drawn to work in his specialty, and Robin tried himself in the acting field. In the early 90s, one setback after another befalls him, his acting skills leaves much to be desired and that's it, what he can boast of is the ability to portray martial arts.
In 1994, he decides to open a small business of import-export of sporting goods, gradually leaving the thought of cinema, but unexpectedly receives a call from his agent who tells him that he has been selected for a role in the movie Mortal Kombat. Robin Shaw's roles were often similar. In the late 00s, interest in him slightly diminished, however, Robin remains a sought-after actor in his genre. The last movie with Robin Shaw is called Black Tiger: The Hunter Hunt.
