Vladislav Demin was born and raised in the distant and picturesque Krasnoyarsk region. At the age of 15, he began to intensively study the Chinese martial art. His love of sports prompted him to enroll in the local pedagogical university at the Faculty of Physical Education. In 1996, a year after graduation, Vladislav became the head of the Federation of Traditional Karate and Hand-to-Hand Combat in his native region.
