Born September 14, 1956 in Voronezh. Director, screenwriter. In 1979 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of G. N. Danelia). Since 1979 he has been working at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. Member of the RF IC, member of the Guild of Russian Filmmakers.
