Emma Treivas was born in August 1918 (Tsaritsyn). Her father was a lumberjack from Belarus, and her mother was a seamstress from Latvia, who, moreover, sang beautifully in the city choir. The family had 4 children, of which two went into creativity: Emma and her sister. The elder brother became a mechanic, and the younger one became a pilot.

When it was time for the girl to go to school, the Treyvas moved to the city of Polotsk. But she received her secondary education in Moscow. After school, Emma was the editor of Komsomolskaya Pravda for some time. But after working for a year, I decided to continue my studies. She entered the theater and music school (drama department). The girl was very easy to study, she received a diploma with honors. It was 1941, the war, Emma volunteered for the militia. She even fought at the front for a couple of months.

The first place of work was the Central Theater of Transport (1943). Roles Emma Treyvas chose most often comedy-characteristic, because her appearance greatly contributed to this. She played Domna Panteleevna in The Tale of Tsarevich Ivan, Katerina in Ivan da Marya, Zivtyn in The Tempest, Sumtsova in Captain Korshun, Eglu in The Spanish Priest, Marisha in Hostile Whirlwinds.

While still a young student, Treyvas got married. Unfortunately, her husband died in the war. The second time she married actor Vladimir Mamontov. They met in the theater, it was love at first sight, which lasted a lifetime. In addition, Emma became very friendly with one of Vova's two daughters from her first marriage.

In 1958, the actress went to work at the Moskontsert. Together with her husband, she put all sorts of comic scenes, sketches, excerpts from performances. She went on tour to many cities in Russia.

Since 1960 she began to appear in films. The most famous films with the participation of Emma Treivas: Maiden Spring, Quite Seriously, Cheryomushki, How toasts are born, The High Road, A man without a passport, 20 years later, Wedding in Robinovka, Golden Calf. Also, several times she was engaged in voice acting for cartoons, wrote excellent humorous poems.

She died on January 8, 1982 in Moscow.

Emma Treyvas has blue eyes, natural light brown hair, fair skin and medium lips. The shape of the face is round, the forehead is medium, the hair is curly, soft.
