Nikolai Khmelev is a terrific actor of the Soviet Union who also proved to be a talented director and teacher. He was three times a laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree. The actor was born in the Nizhny Novgorod province in Sormovo, grew up in a simple working-class family. I went to study at the Sormovskoe school. N.
