Actress Irina Cherichenko was born in the summer of 1963 in the small northern town of the Murmansk region, Polyarny. There her father served in the Navy, and her mother worked as a choir director in the Officers' House. In 1967 the Cherichenko family moved to Zaporozhye (Ukraine). There, Ira is fond of dancing and is engaged in a ballet club in one of the houses of culture, where her mother worked as a choirmaster.
