Born October 23, 1964, in the family of a pilot in an airplane town near Novosibirsk. Even before graduating from school, she entered the Novosibirsk Theater School. Elena later received a certificate of secondary education at a school for working youth. At the school, Elena Shevchenko got on the same course with Vladimir Mashkov, whom she soon married.
In 1985 Elena had a daughter, Masha. After graduating from college in the same year, she went to Moscow, where her husband already lived.
In the same 1985, Elena Shevchenko entered GITIS on the course of A. A. Goncharov, which she graduated in 1990
Elena Shevchenko's debut in cinema took place in 1991, and one of the first films - "Black and White" - was filmed in the USA in English. Thanks to this film, she was invited to the Mayakovsky Theater, directed by A. A. Goncharov. After working there for ten years, Elena Shevchenko left this theater and is currently playing in the Theater of the Moon Sergei Prokhanov.
First husband - Mashkov, Vladimir Lvovich, daughter from his first marriage - Maria.
The second husband is Igor Lebedev, a graduate of the directing department of GITIS, currently the director of the Carmen-video company. The son from the second marriage - Nikita Lebedev, was born in 1994.
