Actor Sava Khashimov was born on March 5, 1940. His hometown is Plevna in Bulgaria. At school he was an excellent student, diligent, but perky and cheerful little boy. Having received a gold medal upon graduation, Sava easily enters the KhTI (Chemical-Technical Institute) in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia.
However, in his second year, thanks to one of his friends, Khashimov is fond of acting. Without hesitation for a long time, he parted with HTI and entered the Higher Institute of Theater Arts, in the same place, in Sofia.
After graduating from Theatrical Sava, he enters the theater of the city of Burgas. It is possible that the actor himself would prefer to build a career in Sofia, but at that time one or another theater went to graduates of theatrical universities by distribution. Here Khashimov undergoes an internship for a year, and already in 1964 he returned to Sofia again.
In Sofia, the actor works at the Ivan Vazov National Theater. His cooperation with this theater has lasted 42 years - just think how many years Sava Khashimov appeared on the stage of the theater every day, how many roles he performed, how many people he inspired with his talent!
The roles of Sava Khashimov in cinema are few - during his career there are only 4 films. Three Bulgarian films: The Expendables (1964), Men (1966) and Lenko (1970). And one picture - the famous tape Running on the waves, made in the USSR and Bulgaria. The film was shot based on the famous story by A. Green.
It was thanks to this picture that Sava met Margarita Terekhova, who soon became his wife. And although the marriage lasted only 1 year, nevertheless, he gave us another beautiful actress Anna Terekhova - the daughter of Khashimov and Terekhova.
Besides Anna, Khashimov has 4 more children from another marriage.
In 2006 the actor left the theater for health reasons.
Passed away on January 11, 2012.
