Georgy Millyar - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips, actor.

To each his own. The one who knows how does it, the knowledgeable one teaches, the rest "provide guidance" - from the dictionary of Georgiy Millyar.

Georgy Frantsovich Millyar was born in Moscow. Father - an engineer, French, had the surname de Milleu (de Miller), which with the advent of Soviet power was wisely changed, removing the aristocratic particle "de". From childhood, he was attracted by the theater, as a child he played miniatures for relatives and friends. The prosperous life of young Georgy Millyar ended after October 1917, when the family's apartment and summer cottages were nationalized.

Georgy studied and graduated from the school in Gelendzhik, where he lived with his grandfather, away from the revolutionary upheavals. There he began his labor activity - he got a job as a props in the theater, until, by a lucky coincidence, he played the role of Cinderella (1920), replacing the suddenly ill actress. So, with a female role, the theatrical career of Georgy Millyar, a film actor, who became widely known was brought by another female role, a less attractive, but no less bright lady, Baba Yaga.

After graduating from the acting school of the Theater of the Revolution (now Mayakovsky) in Moscow, he worked here for more than ten years. And at forty, he was not afraid to make his film debut, completing his theatrical career.

Films with Georgy Millyar are basically fairy tales in which the artist embodies the characters of the forces of darkness: Babu Yaga in Vasilisa the Beautiful (1939), Kashchei the Immortal in Kashchee Immortal (1944), the witch in the New Adventures of Puss in Boots (1958), damn in Evenings on a farm near Dikanka (1961).

Alexander Rowe became the main director in the life of Georgy Franzovich. In all the tales of the talented Rowe, Millyar played, embodying, among other things, the inimitable images of his own, Milyarov's Grandma-Hedgehogs: Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors (1963) - the chief master of ceremonies, the widow queen; Morozko (1964) - Baba Yaga, a robber clerk; Barbara-beauty, long braid (1969) - the king of Miracle Yudo; Golden Horns (1972) - Baba Yaga, Markel's grandfather.

Despite the interpretation of Millyar's Dictionary, where he described himself as the only Koschey who does not consider himself immortal, he remained so forever - the brightest and kindest of all the filthy "evil".

Georgy Millyar's filmography includes more than one hundred and twenty feature films and about forty animated films. Has the titles Honored (1965) and People's Artist of the RSFSR (1988).

Was married twice, no children.

Died on 04/06/1993.
