Petr Petrovich Gorin was born on June 8, 1930. At 22, the young artist graduated from the Lunacharsky Theater Institute and worked for 2 years at the Gorky Kuibyshev Drama Theater, where he played the roles of heroes of not only classical, but also modern repertoire.
From 1953 to 1961 Gorin worked at the Riga Drama Theater. Thanks to his temperament, charm and acting talent, Peter became one of the most sought-after artists of the Russian drama theater.
From 1961 to 1962, Pyotr Gorin performed at the Moscow Sovremennik Theater. Since 1962, the actor played in performances of the Leningrad Lenin Komsomol Theater for 18 years. During this time, Pyotr Gorin was remembered by the audience for the images of Mecca the Knife (Threepenny Opera) and Cyrano in the play by E. Rostand. Thanks to the image of Cyrano, Gorin was offered a job at the Pushkin Leningrad Drama Theater. There, the artist spent his best creative years, consolidating his professionalism.
At the Pushkin Theater, the audience appreciated such roles of Pyotr Gorin as Golikov (The Limit of the Possible, 1981), Sumarokov (Until the Heart Beats, 1981), Harris (Airport, 1983), Alexander I (Field Marshal, 1985), Paramonov (Braking in the Sky, 1988) and others.
In 1957 Petr Gorin became the Honored Artist of Latvia.
During his career, Peter has played not only in many performances, but also in a number of films. In 1962 Gorin performed his first film role of Fyodor Shanko (film Never).
