In 1940 she came to Leningrad and entered the acting school at the Lenfilm film studio. Her path to the cinema was long and difficult: from the second year she volunteered for the front, then worked as a turner at a factory, survived the blockade.
After the war L.I. Malinovskaya entered VGIK, on ??the course of the legendary Boris Bibikov, from which she graduated in 1947.
Having received her diploma, she shone on the stage of the Theater-studio of the film actor, but she did not have her own place, first she spent the night on the windowsill in the theater, then she took pictures of the corner. Having gone to Leningrad on vacation, she unexpectedly got married, gave birth to a daughter and stayed in the northern capital forever.
She starred in films since 1955, played more than 150 roles.
After filming in "Calendula Flowers" she was hit by a car. The doctors diagnosed four fractures. Between the four operations, the actress voiced her big and complex role.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1980).
People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2002) .
She died on May 18, 2009 in St. Petersburg. Buried in the Northern Cemetery.
