Many died then, and only incredible luck saved her from German captivity. The experiences she experienced had a detrimental effect on her mental health - she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, neither illness nor other troubles affected her as an actress. After the war, she did not lose her former skills, moreover, her images became deeper. In addition to working in the theater, she began acting in films. In 1958, the first film with Nina Sazonova was released - the drama Poem about the Sea, and the actress shot in total in 29 tapes.
