January 4, 1936 - December 21, 2009 - Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, director.
He graduated from a mining technical school in Lipetsk, worked for two years in Magnitogorsk, served in the army in the Far East.
In 1963 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (course of V. K. Monyukov) and until the end of his life worked at the Moscow Art Theater (after the division of the theater in 1987 - at the M. Gorky Moscow Art Theater under the leadership of Tatiana Doronina).
