Dzhemal Tetruashvili, a Belarusian actor with Georgian roots, the star of the 12-chair musical and the permanent "yellow color" of the Traffic Light series, has never suffered from the question of choosing a profession. And although no one in the family was associated with art (mother was a teacher, father was a driver), it seems that little Jemal was prepared for acting from childhood.
Early dance training in the Minsk folk ensemble “Rostok”, studies at a music school have helped Dzhemal Tetruashvili in his current profession more than once. He received his basic education at the National Academy of Arts (Minsk) and since 1995 served for eight years in various theaters of the Belarusian capital. In 2003 he moved to live and work in Moscow.
He made his film debut in 1999 as a nurse of the Russian-Belarusian comedy series Accelerated Help 1. Since then, he has remained a sought-after actor, films with Jemal Tetruashvili's participation are released several films a year. For fifteen years of work in cinema, Dzhemal has thirty-two tapes, including the Kamenskaya series (2002-2003), the musical film Silver Lily of the Valley (2004), the action movie Paid by Death (2007), the historical film Three Musketeers (2013).
The comedy series Pope of All Trades (2006) became the picture that started the main roles of Jemal Tetruashvili. Here he played a resourceful and cheerful, but inept amateur builder.
