Vsevolod Gavrilov was born on November 10, 1942 in Tiraspol, Moldavian RSR.

Gavrilov is an honored art worker and winner of the Pushkin Prize, as well as the owner of the Distinguished Service Medal. In 1973 he became a member of the theatrical union of Moldova, and in 1978 became a member of the Union of Cinematographers.
