He graduated from the acting (1965) and directing (1976) faculties of the KSITI named after I.K.Karpenko-Kary. In 1962-1977 he was an actor at the Dovzhenko Kiev Film Studio. The first role - Petruha in the film "Hello, Gnat" (1962). Since 1977 - director of the Kiev Film Studio named after A. Dovzhenko.
