French actor, director, producer, screenwriter. Born December 1, 1966. They started talking about Edouard Baer in the early 1990s, when, together with Ariel Wiesman, he hosted a cult show on Radio Nova "Big Com". He tries his comic talent in all media, especially on Canal +, where his taste for absurdity and improvisation manifested itself. But Edouard Baer is above all an actor.
At the age of 18, he entered the Florent School of Acting. First appeared on screen in Frederic Jardin's film Noble Impulse (1994). He matured as an actor in 2001 in Claude Miller's Abduction for Betty Fisher and God Is Big, I'm Small. Now Edouard Baer is viewed not as some kind of audiovisual troublemaker, but as a real actor.
In 2001, he received the Moliere Prize for his role in the play "Club Tie", then played in its adaptation. In 1999, he made his directorial debut with Villa Bostella and performed one of the roles in it, but he did not stage his second film, Fuck, only five years later, inviting Jean Rochefort to play the lead role. Baer starred with his friend Alain Chabat in Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra and in the film of his former acting teacher Isabelle Nanty, Bison (and his neighbor Doreen). Continuing to play absurd comedies, he finally tried his hand at more serious roles in the films "Lies and Betrayal" and "I Want to Drink" by Marion Vernu.
