Was born on July 1, 1942 in Ulan-Ude.
Honored Artist of Russia (2003) .
From childhood he loved to draw and was considered the main artist in the class. He dreamed of entering the Irkutsk Art School, but once he played the King in the school play "The Snow Queen" and "got sick" with the theater.
He entered the Irkutsk Theater School, and then became an actor in the drama theater in Ulan-Ude.
In 1971 he was an actor of the Smolensk Drama Theater.
Later he worked at the Skomorokh Theater, at the Minsk theaters, at the Leningrad Theater of Comedy named after N. Akimov.
Periodically performs on the stage of the Bolshoi Drama Theater named after Tovstonogov.
He currently lives in the St. Petersburg House of Stage Veterans.
