Born on 15.02.1953 into a mixed family of Ossetian and Ukrainian. He fell in love with performing in front of people since children's matinees, and therefore decided to link his fate with the stage.
After graduating from the theater industry, Anatoly Khostikoev went to Lvov to work at the theater of M. Zankovetskaya. There he absorbed the experience of many already established stars. But nostalgia for home prevailed. Therefore, having paid his debt to his homeland, after the army, Anatoly returned to Kiev at the request of a former teacher, who invited him to the theater of Lesya Ukrainka. Thus, the initial career of an actor took place on the Ukrainian stage. In Soviet cinema, he first appeared in 1976.
In the eighties he was actively filming. Films with the participation of Anatoly Khostikoev are released with a slight time gap, which indicates a rather tight work schedule: Look back for a moment; Counterstrike; Return point; Your father's house. Then there was a break of several years, the next works will appear at the end of the decade. The cause was a serious illness of the actor. The doctors could not stop the progression of the pneumonia. Anatoly experienced clinical death. Fortunately, Khostikoev was saved.
The difficult nineties did not affect the actor's career. He began to work with even greater persistence. During this period, more than a dozen films with Anatoly were released, and this did not interrupt work in the theater. Genres are different. Hostikoev can play any role, for which he constantly receives praise from critics.
Since the beginning of the 2000s, when long stories became fashionable on TV, the actor has played mainly in serials.
The last film with Anatoly Khostikoev was released in 2014. The multi-part melodrama Windy Woman once again proved the actor's professionalism.
