Born September 24, 1958 - American actor.
After graduating from local high school, Sorbo entered the University of Minnesota at Moorhead, and in addition to his studies worked as a model for print and television advertising. Sorbo began his acting career in the late 1980s on television, where he appeared on TV series such as 1st & Ten, Murder, She Wrote and Police Commissioner. In the early 1990s, Kevin was a possible contender for the role of Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and he could have become Agent Mulder in The X-Files, but in the end, these roles were played by other actors.
1994 was successful in his career when he got the role of Hercules in the TV movie "Hercules and the Amazons". This was followed by several more similar television films, which became pilot for the series "The Amazing Wanderings of Hercules", thanks to which Kevin Sorbo won the greatest success. This television series became very popular in many countries of the world, and its filming lasted from 1995 to 1999. Sorbo's character Hercules also appeared in his sister series Xena, Warrior Princess, and the animated Hercules in 1998 in the animated film Hercules and Xena: Battle for Olympus spoke in the voice of the actor. Thanks to this project, Kevin Sorbo also met his wife Sam Jenkicks, whose wedding took place in January 1998. Jenkins and Sorbo become the parents of three children.
In 1997, Sorbo voiced the characters Quan Chi and Reiko in the computer game Mortal Kombat 4. In the same year, between filming on television, Kevin Sorbo performed his first notable role on the big screen, playing Kull in the film Kull the Conqueror .
After finishing filming in The Amazing Journeys of Hercules, Sorbo moved to the new sci-fi series Andromeda, where from 2000 to 2005 he played the role of Captain Dylan Hunt. In 2002, for this role, he was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actor in Television. On television, he was also a guest on the series Lonely Hearts and Two and a Half Men in 2006, and in 2007 he starred in the videos Walking Wide 2: Reckoning and Walking Wide 3: Justice Alone, which are continuation of the film "Walking Wide". In 2008, Sorbo appeared as the captain in the parody comedy Meet the Spartans, which, despite negative reviews from critics, became a major box office hit.
