Born in Moscow on October 28, 1960. The first step in his professional education was the Musical College named after I. Ippolitov-Ivanov, later - the Moscow Conservatory (theoretical and composer faculty) from which he graduated in 1984, having defended his thesis "The Expressive Means of Rock Music", which at that time was a rather bold step. An enormous role in the development of his composing skills was played by the instrumentation class of the outstanding Russian composer Edison Denisov.
