Born and raised in the Moscow region. Since childhood, he wanted to be an actor, he liked going to the movies. Parents wanted their son to be an engineer, so Vyacheslav first graduated from the Automotive Institute, after which he worked as a mechanic at a weaving factory. In 1945, having failed the exams, he miraculously went to study (VGIK). After the completion of the admission of applicants, he will be enrolled in the course. In 1948 he first appeared in films.
In the same student years, Vyacheslav got married (Wife - Nonna Mordyukova, actress). In 1950 the son Vladimir was born. In 1963, the couple divorced. Later he was married again, there is also a child from the second marriage.
Tikhonov was not trusted to play for a long time. For almost ten years he was considered just a handsome man, showing only a good picture on the screen. Big roles were not given. But in the theater, Vyacheslav Tikhonov showed himself one hundred percent, after which he was finally noticed. Offers poured in by themselves.
