Polish screenwriter, director and producer.
Born March 10, 1955 in Olsztyn.
Son of the famous Polish actor Jan Machulski and actress Halina Machulskaya.
Graduated from the Faculty of Philology, University of Warsaw.
Filmed as an actor.
In 1978 he graduated from the Higher School of Theater, Film and Television in Lodz (workshop of V.E. Has) .
From 1975 to 1980 he directed short and mid-length feature films.
The debut full-length film "Vabank" (1981) was a resounding success and won the Prize at the Karlovy Vary IFF in 1982 for a successful debut.
The following films by the director enjoyed unchanged success, among them "Sexmission" (in our box office "New Amazons", "Seksmisja", 1983) .
In 1984-85 he studied at the California School of the Arts (Cal-Arts).
In 1988 he founded and headed the Zebra Film Studio.
Winner of many prestigious awards.
