Born on September 6, 1950 in the village of Muromtsevo, Omsk Region.
Graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (1972), the philological faculty of the Kazakh University (1979, correspondence department).
In 1973-1979 he was an actor at the Russian Drama Theater named after M.Yu. Lermontov in Alma-Ata.
In 1979-1982 - artist of the Leningrad Theater of Comedy named after N.P. Akimova, since 1982 - artist of the Leningrad ABDT named after Gorky (since 1992 named after G.A.Tovstonogov).
From 1995 to 1997 he worked in the troupe of the Moscow theater "Satyricon".
Now he plays in entreprise performances.
Member of the Union of Cinematographers and the Union of Theater Workers of Russia.
A brilliant dubbing master (he is the voice of Hollywood actors: Al Pacino, Mickey Rourke, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin, James Woods), has voiced hundreds of foreign films.
