While still at school, he began to try himself as a presenter. While studying at the university, he worked on a student TV channel. Since 1989, he began a real television career. Participated in many popular TV shows. He starred in several films, mostly comedy. Since 2003 he has hosted his own show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" .
He was married from 1988 to 2002 and has two children (born in 1991 and 1993). After the divorce, he dated Sarah Silverman for five years. The couple broke up in March 2009.Since October 2009, they have been dating the scriptwriter of their own show, Molly McNearney.
