grew up in the family of a Nigerian forensic psychologist and a Norwegian fashion model. She attended elementary school in Kirk Ella and completed her secondary education at Hull High School, and studied at the National Youth Theater in London. She graduated from the Central School of Stage Speech and Drama in 2012.
John-Kamen began her career in 2011 when she took up the voiceover for the video game Dark Souls II.
