Born September 26, 1942, Los Angeles, California is an American actor, screenwriter, and producer.
At ten, he started working at his father's gas station, and in 1954 got a job at the airport in La Verne with the help of a family friend and for the next five years worked at the airport on weekends and during the summer holidays.
In 1961 he met Ricky Nelson, who brought him to the casting of the popular television project "The Adventures of Ozzy and Harriet". During his work on the television project, Kent decided to continue his career as an actor.
In 1965, McCord signed with Universal Studios, and from that time began his appearance in various television series. The actor attracted attention and was immediately invited to play the role of Officer Jim Reed in the new series "Adam-12". In this series, McCord starred, along with actor Martin Milner from 1968 to 1975.
Kent McCord is an active member of the Screen Actors Guild. In June 1999, he received the Distinguished Service Award from this society, and also took part in the creation of biographical programs about actors.
