Anastasia Filippova graduated from a rural elementary school, and then studied for two years on refresher courses.
In 1913, Filippova began acting in the auxiliary staff of the Saratov City Theater. From 1914 to 1930 Anastasia Pavlovna worked in theaters in various cities of the country: Saratov, Uralsk, Kostroma, Vladikavkaz, Yelets, Lipetsk, Serpukhov and others. Since 1930 - in Moscow. From 1930 to 1932 she was an actress of the regional instructive and demonstration theater, from 1934 to 1941 - the Bauman Drama Theater, from 1942 to 1946 - the front theater, from 1946 to 1953 - the Moscow Drama Theater (now the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya).
In 1957, Anastasia Filippova made her film debut, playing Ilyinichna in Sergei Gerasimov's immortal masterpiece "Quiet Don". In 1962, the famous director again invited the actress to play the role of her grandmother in his film People and Beasts. Filippova also starred in the films The Generation Saved and Your Son and Brother.
