After graduating from a music school, at the age of 14, Polina entered the State Music School of Pop and Jazz Art. In her second year, her teacher Natalya Andriyanova invited Polina to participate in the musical television project "Star Factory" .
In 2003, Polina got on the television project "Star Factory-2". She performed several songs by Maxim Fadeev and won the competition. Many professionals subsequently recognized Gagarina as the strongest singer of all the winners of the show. However, at the end of the project, Polina refused to cooperate with Fadeev.
For a year it was not heard about Gagarina, at that time she was invited to sing in the "Playgirls" group.
