October 23, 1958 Geneva - January 12, 2009 Luxembourg. One of the most famous actors in Luxembourg.
The first acting experience was Andy Bausch's short film Stefan (1982). From this film, Bausch invites Verweke to play mainly the leading roles in his feature films. Soon he was noticed by other directors: Verweke played in the film by Paul Kiefer (Schacko Klak), Mark Olinger (De falschen Hond), Paul Kruchten (Hochzaitsnuecht). In the film Abracadabra, Harry Kleven Verveque first played in French. The role of the bandit Hank in Thomas Jan's film Knockin 'on Heaven brought Verveque fame outside of Luxembourg.
In early 2008, Verveke received a liver transplant, where his illness - stomach cancer - was revealed.
He died on the night of January 11-12, 2009 from cancer.
