Born April 8, 1973 - American actress.
Her mother worked as a professional singer. In high school, Emma studied drama and auditioned for the local La Jolla Playhouse and Old Globe Theaters. She later went to the American School in England in London, England, where she also studied drama during the summer. There, her talent received recognition from colleagues on the stage. After graduating from La Jolla Country Day School, Checker attended the University of San Francisco to study psychology, but she soon dropped out. In 1992, Emma moves to Los Angeles.
Coalfield played her first notable role in 1995 in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210. Until 1996, she appeared in thirty episodes. In 1998, Emma played her best-known role, Ani Jenkins, in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, directed by Joss Whedon. Initially, her character appeared in several episodes, but soon Whedon included Colefield in the main cast. In 2003, Emma got the lead role in the movie "Darkness Comes". In 2004, she appeared in an episode of the television series Detective Monk as Meredith Preminger. Also, in 2004, Colefield played an arrogant actress in the comedy film The Downside.
