Corinne Redgrave - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips, actor.
July 16, 1939 - April 6, 2010 - British actor and political activist.
Graduated from King's College at Cambridge University.
Redgrave has played a wide range of roles in theater, film and television. He won the Laurence Olivier Awards theatrical honor for his role as Boss Whalen in Tennessee Williams' play No Nightingales. He later reprized the role on Broadway, where he received a Tony Award nomination. He also starred in such famous Shakespearean works as Much Ado About Nothing, Henry IV Part 1 and The Tempest. Redgrave has also received public and critical acclaim for his work in plays by Noel Coward, especially for his role in The Song of Twilight, where he starred opposite his sister Vanessa Redgrave and his second wife Kika Markham. On the silver screen, he is known for his roles in films such as "The Man for All Seasons", "Excalibur" and "Four Weddings and One Funeral" .
He also wrote Straight Talk, which premiered at the Chichester Theater Festival.
Throughout his life, Redgrave was an activist of the left political movements. Together with his older sister Vanessa, he was a prominent member of the Trotskyist political organization The Club. Later he was engaged in the protection of the interests of the Roma. He and his wife, Kika Markham, and his sister Vanessa, have supported the organization Viva Palestina, which delivers humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip.
