The Pointer Sisters began their careers in 1969 as a duo with June & Bonnie Pointer and were initially called "Pointers, a Pair" A little later, when the sisters were already enjoying success with the public, Anita Pointer joined them ( Anita Pointer), and on the eve of the recording of the debut album, another sister - Ruth (Ruth Pointer).
