The girl studied ballet since childhood, and danced with the Ballet Russ de Malt troupe in her native island state, located in the Mediterranean Sea. Marama Corlett then moved to the UK to pursue a choreographic career and graduate from a specialized college in London.
Marama Corlett began acting in short films, and in 2011 she appeared in the thriller The Devil's Double. Marama Corlett also starred in The Children's Hour at London's West End, alongside Hollywood star Keira Knightley.
In 2011, it became known that Marama Corlett got the role of Rina, an unprincipled and cunning thief, in the television drama Sinbad. In preparation for filming, the aspiring actress took boxing lessons.
