Born May 4, 1949, London, England, UK - famous British writer.
Graduated from Cambridge and received his MA from the University of York, specializing in Victorian literature. For some time he taught English in Greece, like his predecessor, John Fowles. His first novel "The Sweet Shop Owner" was released in 1980. In 1983 he became famous for his novel "Waterland", which is considered one of the best works of English postmodernism.
In 1996, Graham Swift received the Booker Prize for his novel Last Orders.
