Stanley Jung - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips, Producer, Director, Actor, Writer.

Producer, director, actor and screenwriter.

Stanley from early childhood adored cinema, one of the most vivid memories of his young years - family evening movie screenings in a house in San Francisco. At the age of six, the boy first saw the classic of world cinema - "The Godfather", shots in which Robert De Niro pulls the trigger of a pistol in the guy's mouth, still stand before Jung's eyes. Fascinating sounds and a flickering image of the screen in the complete darkness of the cinema, enveloping the viewer - the magic of visual art, that feeling that attracted Stanley, sensations that have been dear since childhood. Although, while still in high school, Stanley did not think about cinema as a further field of activity. And only then did Jung realize his calling. He received his specialized education at the UCLA Film School at the University of California. Stanley's graduation work was WORLD OF LONGING, which was screened at the Hawaii Film Festival and the Asian American International Film Festival.

After graduation, Stanley worked at Concorde / New Horizons, where he taught at Roger Corman's Film School. Following the example of his idols, film classics Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese, Jung worked behind the scenes in the production of B films. The path from production assistant to director took Stanley 18 months, after which in 2013 Jung's first independent film "Chink" was released on the screens, which premiered on May 4.

Prior to that, Jung had already tested his acting and production skills. Jung made his film debut as a producer, in 1997 he acted as a line producer on the drama Shopping for Fangs by Quentin Lee and Justin Lin. After that, he became a producer in six more films, including the comedy directed by Chi Mui Lo "Catfish in Black Bean Sauce" (1999), the thriller by Quentin Lee "Ethan Mao" (2004), the drama "The White Frog" (2012) and his the comedy My Sexy List (2009); and Ray Spice's short film Dreamer (2000) and his own film Chink (2013).

In 2007 Stanley tried his hand at acting, playing one of the roles in Justin Lin's comedy film Ending the Game.

Jung made his directorial debut in 1999, when he co-directed (with Stanley Lee) the detective thriller Shadow Play. After that, two years later, Jung got into the directing staff of the fantastic series "Black Scorpion", and a year later he worked as a co-director of the feature film "Sting of the Black Scorpion" (2002).

In 2014, Stanley released his new film, the thriller "2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom", in which he himself acted as the scriptwriter. The story of the film revolves around a young married couple who are soon expecting a replenishment, but dreams of a quiet family life are not destined to come true - the spouses begin to suffer from nightmares and visions, not only in dreams, but also in reality. Michelle Hicks (as Rachel) and Andrew W. Walker (as Kevin) star in the film. The chilling horror film premiered in September 2014.
