Attended drama courses founded by Rene Simon; then he entered the Conservatory of Dramatic Art, in the same year with Gerard Ury and Bernard Blier. Most notable among his theatrical works is Hugo's role in the first production of Jean-Paul Sartre's Dirty Hands (1948) .
Since 1938 he has acted in films. The acting of the actor has always been distinguished by lightness, ingenuity and sharpness. In the post-war years - one of the most popular artists in French cinema, having performed roles in more than a hundred films. Among them are Jean Cocteau's Orpheus, Federico Fellini's Cabiria Nights and others.
In Russia, Francois Perrier is known, among other things, for his role as a lawyer for Terrasini in the TV series Octopus, where he brilliantly embodied the repulsive image of a corrupt, dodgy and calculating lawyer associated with the mafia. For all that, Perrier did not have the role of a villain at all, but the guise of a corrupt lawyer was created and transmitted by him with amazing naturalness.
